Last week, my work wife, Gina, came to the office in a
complete panic. Her daughter, Gracyn,
had decided to redecorate her bedroom – complete with zebra prints, frogs, and
peace signs. Tweens will be tweens... The problem:
What color should they paint the walls in order to keep the room from
becoming a total hot mess?
Grey to the rescue.

Since grey is becoming the new beige, perhaps a new color name is in order....Greige?
Well, maybe not! Anyway, the problem with grey is that there are 52 kajillion choices. So, how do you make a decision.

As a start, we took all of Gina's paint swatches and placed
them beside a brightly colored oil painting in the office. Hint, hint. It worked great…. super simple
to see which ones were too brown, too blue, too black, and so forth.

If you don't want to paint the whole room grey, then grey can be a great accent in a room. A few examples:
Grey, yellow, and pale blue velvet and linen pillow
Grey and yellow wallpaper
